Mumbai: Mumbai police have registered a case against unidentified persons after receiving a video call to a man in suburban Santacruz allegedly threatening to bomb the country, an official said on Friday.
Rafat Hussain (55) allegedly received a video call on Tuesday from unidentified persons, who claimed that they would detonate bombs in the country.

Hussain then reached the Santacruz police station, informed the authorities about the threatening call and lodged a complaint, he said. An FIR has been registered against unidentified persons under sections 505 (statements for public mischief) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the official said.
Police are verifying the mobile number from which the man received the threatening call, he said, adding that it is being investigated.
